Epic Two - Wreath of Knowledge

-:One:-

The ring-mirror is in His (God's) Own Hand and He, Himself is watching.

(He) sees Himself and let others vision through six philosophies.

The way one perceives (the world), one gets in destiny.

When (one) looks in (the mirror) laughing, one sees an alike form therein.

But one weeping, sees, even in a twinkle, a weeping stance.

(God) Himself manifested, sees Himself in True Congregation.

-:Two:-

The way a musician, holding his musical instrument, plays all the Ragas,

(He) listens to himself, is delighted and praises himself,

Immersed in the intense love of tune, appeases himself,

(Almighty) Himself relates the sermons and, gets, Himself, absorbed as the listener,

Himself into an ecstasy, (He) prevails all over.

He, Himself performs, (knowing this) the Gurmukhs (one who adopts the Guru's way) are contented.

-:Three:-

Himself, He is hungary and He, Himself proceeds to the kitchen.

He cooks Himself and, Himself, blends it with the divine essence.

Himself savours with admiration and feels satiated.

Himself, He is cherisher, and with His own elixir He makes the tongues ecstatic.

He bestows and relishes too, (knowing this) the Gurmukhs are contended.

-:Four:-

He lays the bed Himself, and Himself slumbers thereon.

Himself permeates the dreams, and travels around the countries.

Creates the kings and turns them into destitute, and perpetrates both afflictions and blessings.

Himself changes cold water into hot, and gets boiled in it.

Serenity as well as adversity excel Him, and only on remembrance, He speaks (blesses).

He, Himself, executes, (knowing this) Gurmukhs attain bliss.

-:Five:-

Only once the celestial rain drops are showered all over.

They become water into water, and on the earth take varied forms.

With the different flavours in the fields and trees, they give tastes to fruits and fragrance to flowers.

In banana they become camphor to soothe and calm.

Dropping into the mouth of a shell, turn into a priceless pearls.

In the jaw of a snake develop into poison, and think nothing but wickedness.

He, Himself, executes, and prevails in the True Congregation.

-:Six:-

The copper, which combines with quicklime, turns into bronze.

The copper, meeting zinc, develops into brass.

The same, joining glass, converts into a brittle metal.

Contacting touchstone, copper changes into gold.

But the same copper, burned to ashes, remains as medicine.

He, Himself, executes and the congregation procures merits.

-:Seven:-

Water in black colour looks black.

Poured in red colour it becomes red.

In yellow colour it attains yellowness.

Mixing with green colour develops into green colour.

Some times cold, some times hot; it is adoptable.

He, Himself, executes and the Gurmukh is enjoying the bliss.

-:Eight:-

Fire lightens Diya, the earthen oil lamp, and illuminates the darkness.

The Diya produces the black-ink, benefiting the writers.

And becoming eye-lasher, makes a damsel favourite of the good and the bad.

The black-ink (produced through it) inspires to write God's praises in offices ahead.

He, Himself, executes, and the Gurmukhs feels (Him) all around.

-:Nine:-

The tree grows from one seed and does the expansion.

The root remaining down under, gives innumerable expansion on a big trunk.

Spring up its leaves, fruits and flowers, and then they are fended.

With growth and fragrance in them they flourish immensely.

The seed springing inside the fruit achieves fruition in thousands.

He, Himself, executes, and grants salvation to the Gurmukhs.

-:Ten:-

Cotton seed is transformed into cotton thread, and then turned into wrap & woof.

From yarn, the cloth is woven and is categorised into various forms;

Such as Chasi, Chautar, Gangajali,

Khasa, Malmal, and Srisaf, all of which entice the mind.

And made out of them, the turbans, scarfs, robes, and girdles are always appreciated.

He, Himself, executes, and the Gurmukh relishes His delineation.

-:Eleven:-

The goldsmith moulds and decorates various ornaments;

Nose-pins, leafy-earrings, ear-tops and star-like forehead dots,

Adorable nose-rings and cherished pearly necklaces.

He makes forehead crowns and jewels, pearly necklaces, ornaments,

And rounded, studded and imprinted armlets of various types.

He, Himself, executes, and the Gurmukh contemplates.

-:Twelve:-

Immediately juice is release when the sugar-cane is crushed through the press.

Some boil the juice to make the jaggery balls and some turn it into brown raw sugar.

Some prepare (white) sugar and some wrap it round to make spicy sugar-candies.

Sugar carrot cakes, carrot-puddings and sweetmeats are moulded.

And the kings relish (the sweetmeats) and the paupers enjoy (jaggeries).

He, Himself, executes, and the Gurmukh enjoys comforts.

-:Thirteen:-

Although the cows are of varied colour but the milk from all of them is white.

To ferment milk for yoghurt it is left in consistency.

The churning of yoghurt, swirls butter (on top) butter-milk.

By heating and boiling butter, ghee, the clarified butter made,

Through which yajna, the sacrificial worship is performed in the fulfilment of function.

He, Himself, executes, and the Gurmukh bears all.

-:Fourteen:-

Counted are the moments, hours, auspicious-times, three-quarter-hours, lunar-days, week-days.

And integrated the fortnights and months (to establish the year).

In (the year) initiated six seasons and, thus, developed His wonders.

(Both) the enlightened ones and the common folks acknowledge the performance of (the one and only) son,

And through Six Philosophies and all the four castes many paths were incepted.

He, Himself, executes, and the Gurmukh confers understanding.

-:Fifteen:-

Although the water is one and one is the earth but the flora is in divergence.

Some bear not ant fruit but the others look splendorous with the produce.

With the variation in pigment and abundance of essence (in flora), the Creation becomes soothing.

In all the varieties (of the plants), the fire retains only one colour.

And it (fire) becomes apparent from its latency to turn them into ashes.

He, Himself, executes, and the Gurmukh secures relief.

-:Sixteen:-

With the fragrance of sandalwood, all flora turns into sandalwood.

With the touch of philosopher's stone, eight metals turn into one (gold).

The streams and rivulets join together and take the shape of Ganga.

The congregation with the pious persons erases the sins,

And emancipates thousands of sinners from the clutches of hell.

He, Himself, executes, and the Gurmukh visions (the divinity).

-:Seventeen:-

The moth loves the burning light and the fish relishes swimming in water.

Antelope is delighted with sound (of small bells rattling on a metal plate) and the black bee dwells upon the sun-flower.

The (Indian) partridge's love for the moon is famed as it is embodiment of meditation.

The she-partridge adores sun as (at sunrise) she gets opportunity (of meeting the he-partridge).

The spouse loves her husband, and the love inspires son and mother to unite.

He, Himself, executes, and the Gurmukh is fascinated.

-:Eighteen:-

Through eyes all the marvels are visible.

Through ears, with diligence, listens all the talks and expressions.

Through the tongue soliloquises and relishes the tastes.

With hands earns his living, and uses his feet to travel

Only one mind is there in the body, and all the organs accept (Him as Supreme).

He, Himself, executes, and the Gurmukh enjoys the consolation.

-:Nineteen:-

Air is the Guru and the Guru is Shabd, the (Celestial) Word and from them are produced the Raag and Talk.

Water and Earth are mother and father, and through them Creation is produced.

The midwife and the male-nurse are the night and days, through them the whole play is enacted.

The (spiritual) consciousness and temporal awareness has spread over all the Nature.

Like the (image of) moon (contained in a pitcher) God, Almighty, Himself is diffused in every Form.

He, Himself, executes, and the Gurmukh assesses the value.

-:Twenty:-

In the flowers resides the fragrance which entices the black-bee.

The mango contains the juice which is ralished by the cuckoo bird.

The clouds shower the rain drops to please the peacock and the pied-cuckoo (which drionks rain drpos only).

(Their affiliation is like) milk and water which join together to produce rice-pudding.

The Saviour Himself takes the Form and amalgamates the body and spirit.

He, Himself, executes, and the Gurmukh duly acknowledges.
